Well folks, it is time that I remind you 2 things :
- These cartoons (as well as some other studios series) were made by adults for adults, so chances are you appreciate them more once you grow .(I do anyway !)
- They were made during at a different time ! While a lot are still hilarious or relevant to this day , but it's not up to WB to rewrite history. Denying that these cartoons existed is tantamount to denying that the prejudices that influenced them existed. And that is stupid and dangerous and can omly lead to obscurantism . People MUST know what exactly happened before so giving them a sugarified version does not help.
The world is offensive, trying to censor that out is unrealistic and dumb .

These cartoons, uncensored, reflect the attitudes America had of the Axis at that time.
You gotta kinda look past it. "It was a different time" is a perfectly valid defense. Racism was socially acceptable then. Hell, a TON of stuff that is considered racist now wasn't back then.

By today's standards, yes, it's tasteless and offensive. But it wasn't then. They shouldn't be damned for doing it back then. Society has grown, so have they.And it's pretty specific in most cases (In the propaganda shorts, it's not GERMANS being made fun of, it's the NAZIS.)
And politically incorrect material usually hits home on touchy truths that people don't want to hear, because the truth isn't in their favor.(And by my current national situation I should know ...)
