X-MEN Canon Version part 8 by devilkais X-MEN Canon Version part 8 by devilkais
Something tells me that this one will be the least popular...
Oh anyway! A little concept comparison folks :
The Purifiers A force of Christian fundamentalists led by the ruthless Reverend William Stryker, the Purifiers see themselves in a holy war against mutants, believing them to be the children of the Devil and thus worthy of extermination.

... yaaaawwwnn.... No thanks, I have enough fundamentalists in my real life in Tunisia, so I have an non-existant tolerance to this kind of dipshit .
You may wonder why I haven't showed any sentinel either , well it's because I can't let the Marvel Earth be THAT stupid to keep wasting their cash on these bucketheads (I even destroted the last reserve here [link] )

On the other hand , Weapon X is a fictional clandestine government genetic research facility project in the Marvel Universe conducted by the Canadian Government's Department K, which turns willing and unwilling beings into living weapons. The project often captures or hires mutants and experiments on them to enhance their superpowers and turning them into weapons and also mutates baseline humans. The Weapon X Project produced Wolverine, Leech, and other characters such as Deadpool (who was deemed a failed experiment due to his initial instability ) and Sabretooth (who plays them for chumps ). It was eventually revealed as part of the "Weapon X Project." Grant Morrison's run on New X-Men in 2002 further revealed that Weapon X was only the tenth of an entire series of such projects (Neat concept, horrendous execution so I ignored what HE did with it, but not the concept )

This is why this kind of organisation is much juicier than just " destroy all mutants " . Exploitation is a far more layered concept , since you can have the unwilling members as well as the willing are in the same boat for better or worse. And now Weapon X ( who specialises in producing & enhancing agents ) & the facility ( who produces Wolverine clones ) are at war with Weapon + ( who produces extremely developped beings inside the" world", mutant organs traffic )

Meets the members of
Weapon X:
BRENT JACKSON Director
SAURON wonderful mixture between a pteranodon, a rhamphorhyncus (he also has the teeth to go with that...) & Jeremy Irons's Profion
WILD CHILD
MESMERO
JACK IN THE BOX (Last normal good person you'll see, & he 's in a bocal )
Dr ROBERT WINDSOR on the screen next to Kimura's head...
KIMURA sent by the Facility for a certain important subject to retrieve...

Weapon + members:
Dr JOHN SUBLIME & in case you're wondering , I'm using the Tieri version of the character because that one was suitably credible & creepy (the initial one is contrived & pathetically nonsensical )
Dr AOUAL On the screen
The U-men are now an improved version, especially the biggest one which we'll be explored soon enough...

I have ONE question: Why was the Weapon X series so reviled ? Between all the bullshit of Morrison, Austen & Claremont's runs & this is the book that pisses them off ? REALLY ? Well, for me it did something the others failed miserably at ; breathing new life into some characters & issue 14 is just PLATINUM reading (suck it, x-axis & Paul O'Brien , you unentertaining fools you !)

Anyway , 2 more to go & here's a clue about the next one !

I wonder how many more Weapon variations survived (like IV or VII for example) or how many "successful" Weapons, no matter what version they were marked under, survived?

Awesomeness my friend it's nice to see Sauron and I agree you about having enough of fundamentalists.

Weapon X vs. Weapon Plus.
Hell of a war.

Like I wrote at your fanfic: Brent Jackson and John Sublime are underused villains.
Great concept to bring them back.

Canīt wait for the next chapter of your fanfic.

I have to say I don't recognize these people. They must not have been included in any of the TV series.

Well they weren't , mostly because their stories tend to be more ... violent , with assassination, treasons, organ trafficking, concentration camps , not really safe for an adaptation

No Stryker, Purifiers or sentinels? Be blessed for not including them! My hatred towards them is too strong to be expressed in words.
This version of Weapon X might prove to be a good set of foes for many X-Men members. How much I'd love to see someone take down Kimura - she's such an arrogant bitch!
Isn't Dr.Robert Windsor an alterego of Sinister? My knowledge about the Weapon X storylines is vague but I remember this name and its connection to Sinister..... I wouldn't say I dislike the Weapon X series, I just have no interest in it. Labs, experiments etc.....they creep me out :P

Yes Robert Windsor is Sinister, where they are free guinea pigs, he never lets the opportunity slide ! ;) But the next part will deal more in detail with good old Essex
