My take on Rainbow Dash

Well next up may be the most controversial protagonist on the show . And really people are rather extreme when it comes to RD , some think she's the best thing about the show while others utterly loathe her guts (I guess this explains why she gets maimed , brainwashed and mauled in most fanfics. Except in Rainbow Factory, that was awesome enough to give us this [link] ) . I personally think that she's a jerk , and that's why she works so well ! And I mean it people , most of the time she pays for her mistakes & gets to live and learn . Jerks make for interesting characters when you play your cards right and are as essential to fiction as goody 2-shoes are (you need both kinds ! Then the nuances make the character essence . ), and besides she is more altruistic than she wants other to think .
As for the analogies here : Sonic is kinda obvious , She reminds of Donald due to her pranks biting her back more often than not and the brash temper ( Donald was also the main influence for her expressions here ) . But the biggest selling point was Guy Gardner . He is the less than reverent, arrogant rebel with his emotions bubbling to the surface and has been burned over and over again. Despite that Guy has a heart of gold that he tries not to let anyone see making others mistake him for an A-hole while he keeps doing the right thing .
